The example given here concerns OVH but should be applicable to other hosts.
You just bought the domain name monsite.com OVH and would like to have email addresses with your domain name like:
contact@monsite.com
devis@monsite.com
etc. .. .
Two solutions, either you ask OVH you install a mail hosting fee MX or you use Gmail.
In my case I chose Gmail, which is very convenient to use with a large storage space.
- First register on Google Apps free in standard use.
- Follow the steps to the end and perform the audit proposed by Google to show that you are the owner of the domain. Two procedures are proposed, the simplest is to create the file and place it at the root of the site via ftp.
- In the control panel google apps, gmail activate if not already done
- In your manager choose the field that interests you (for us it monsite.com) Click on DNS Zone
- Remove Field MX1 (delete as the change does not seem fontionne)
- In creating a new one by clicking on the icon
- Type M Complete the form: leave empty subdomain, enter as destination ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. (With the dot at the end) and then check the "Force" Operation
You can now create as many addresses as you want in Google Apps as contact@monsite.com, webmaster@monsite.com etc. ... and send and receive emails with these addresses.
Comments, errors, a way to synthesize even more, leave a comment.
Thanks for having me Korben sided work.
